Foundation Repair

Packard Square is a mixed-use project that includes 249 apartments and roughly 24,000 square feet of retail space in one mixed-use building. Throughout the extensive construction schedule, general contractor O’Brien Construction noted foundation failure on a portion of the project. Kent Companies installed four helical piers using wall mount brackets and footing brackets to support the failing foundation. The piers were driven to an average depth of 28 feet in order to reach stable, load-bearing soils. Site access was limited, and and excessive water flooded portions of the structure’s foundation. Kent Companies used non-invasive equipment to install the piers with no disruption to the new construction. The repair was completed within two days.
