Foundation Repair
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Toebe Construction chose Kent Companies to support the construction of new through-lanes on I-96 and the rebuilding of six bridges for US-23 and Old US-23. The project duration was from October 2015 to December 2015 and March 2016 to April 2016. The bridges required tiebacks to secure the temporary steel sheet piling. Kent Companies installed 247 helical tiebacks that provided a method to quickly and securely support the bridge structures. Tiebacks were installed with mini excavators, which lowered mobilization costs and shortened the completion time. Each tieback was load tested by an independent testing service.
