B-Dry fielded an inquiry from a realtor looking for a solution to help their seller complete the sale of their home. The home inspection report revealed concerns in the basement and crawlspace, which posed concern to the buyers. B-Dry inspected the property and proposed a solution that met the needs of the seller, buyer, structural engineer and closing company. The B-Dry team provided a detailed scope of work, project schedule, and communications that kept all parties fully informed on the project.
Upon completion of the work, all parties were fully satisfied with the repair solution, timeline and quality of installation. Closing this project was a success for all.
Scope of Work:
Structural:
- 12 Basement support posts with I-beams to stabilize the flooring system
- Build and install a CMU block retaining wall with 12 poured footers to stop further soil erosion from the crawlspace into the basement/cellar area
- Met all engineering requirements
Water & Moisture Control:
- Installed 54’ of interior basement waterproofing drainage on top of the footer for surrounding cellar walls.
- Installed flexible plastic on the cellar walls to enable weeping moisture to seep into the drainage system.
- Installed a 1HP sump pump to remove all water collected out of the home and discharge to a safe area
